Course Objective

This course aims to provide a historical background on the events of religious (faith) tourism and the processes of festivals by presenting the relationship among the members of various religions in the early period of Islamic history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain knowledge about the historical background of the relationship among the members of different religions by taking into consideration the early politic history of Islam.
2   To be able to consider how Islam in general, and the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad in particular, treated to the people of other religions.
3   To be able to comprehend the understanding of religions and the life styles of prominent non-Muslims within the process of the emergence and expansion of Islam.
