General Description

History

Dokuz Eylul University, Institute of Social Sciences Department of Business Administration was established by Decree No. 41 on 20 July 1982. Finance master program which attached to department of business administration has been training between business segments. The program aims to realize processes for finance decisions of SME and big businesses, to value capital markets and to make true and efficient financial analysis. Language of the program is Turkish.

Specific Admission Requirements

First Cycle (Bachelor's Degree) diploma; a minimum score of 55 from the Academic Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) in the related field or GRE/GMAT equivalent; a minimum score of 50 from the Foreign Language Exams (UDS/KPDS/YDS) or TOEFL IBT/PEARSON PTE/Goethe-Zertifikat/TestDaF/DELF&DALF equivalent or a minimum score of 55 from DEU School of Foreign Languages English Proficiency Test. Transcript; a minimum score of 65 from the graduate school academic proficiency exam.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective.

Profile of the Programme

Dokuz Eylül University, Social Sciences Institute, Business Administration Department, Finance master program has 8 instructors and 4 researches assistant. Number of the laboratories used by both students and to conduct courses is 3 and is open from 8.30 to 17.00 weekdays. Wireless connection is available. Language of the program is Turkish.

Course Structure Diagram with Credits

All courses in finance master program are compulsory. Students who are successfully done two courses have to conduct and achieve a thesis. If necessary, prerequisite courses can be taken from undergraduate. There is no internship possibility. First term courses are related with theoretical introduction to and principles of the area. Second and third terms are more likely turned to analysis and interpretation ability and researches.

Graduation Requirements

Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Program with thesis is comprised of courses (at least 52 ECTS), a seminar (4 ECTS) and field study (4 ECTS) and thesis (60 ECTS), in total 120 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/ S / TP grades.
