Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to explain prospective physics teachers about general optics subjects by using both theoretical and ray diagrams.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe fundamental concepts and theories of l optics
2   To be able to comprehend the concept of ray and its usage in geometrical optics
3   To be able to explain the physical optics events by using the wave modelof light
4   To be able to explain the light events in daily life by using the principles of optics
5   To be able to comprehend the features of optic devices and the technological application of these devices
