Course Objective

Learning of land-use in the various plain types of Turkey

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning of varieties and sections of the plains in terms of formation and features of plains in Turkey
2   Learning of natural properties of different plain sections in Turkey.
3   Learning of positive and negative aspects of the plains in terms of land-use in Turkey.
4   Learning the effects of the socio-economic and natural factors on plains in terms of land-use in Turkey.
5   Learning of land-uses of sample plains in the World

7 Land-use in coastal plains
8 MIDTERM EXAM
9 Land-use in piedmont plains
10 Land-use in karstic and tectono-karstic plains
11 Land-use in flood plains
12 Land-use in plains within mountains. Land-use in plains which extend throughout the valleys
