Course Objective

Learning English terminology and concepts and their usages related to geography. Learning of the translation techniques of english geographical texts into Turkish language.

2   To learn application of translation methods in a practical manner (from English into Turkish)
3   To learn to translate variety of English geographical texts into Turkish language.

1 The practical methods and applications and their usages in translation of sentences from English into Turkish.
2 The expressions and terms related to exposition, to expose, to be exposed to and to be suitable for etc. Examples and test.
3 The expressions and terms and their usages related to to be responsible for , bring about, lead to, cause, owing to and comparison etc. Examples and tests.
4 The usages and examples of the words, terms and expressions which related to change, conversion, transform etc . Examples and tests.
5 The expressions, terms and their usages related to increase, decrease, to rise up, to lower etc . Examples and tests.
6 The terms, expressions and their usages related to quantity and rate. Examples and tests.
7 The terms, expressions and their usages related to range, to appraise, to evaluate etc. Examples and tests.
