Course Objective

At the end of this course students will have the ability to reach and understand the historical primary sources.

1   1. To be able to explain the importance of Ottoman Turkish
2   2. Knowledge of sources of different periods in Ottoman language
3   3. To be able to recognize the Arabic and Persian grammar elements in Ottoman texts
4   4. To be able to use Ottoman Turkish dictionaries
5   5. To be able to read printed documents in Ottoman language
