Course Objective

The aim of this course is to instruct students in concepts of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, in history of study of cultural heritage done in Europe and Turkey and to teach them how to protect cultural heritage products. Raising awareness for the protection of cultural environments in students is also important purpose at this course.

1   Define concepts of tangible and intangible cultural heritage
2   Outline history of studies done in Europe and Turkey
3   State the major cultural heritages of Turkey
4   Discuss how to protect cultural environment
5   Evaluate the legislations related with the cultural heritage
