Course Objective

At the end of this course, students acquire knowledge of developments in the Turkish Educational History from Pre-Islamic Turkish States to the present by learning the importance of Turkish Education History.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to summarise the education in Turks before Islam
2   2. To be able to explain the education in first Muslim Turkish States, Seljuks and and Anatolian Sultanates
3   3. To be able to write the basic elements of Establishment and Classical Ottoman Empire education history
4   4. To be able to tell the development of the Turkish education system
5   5. To be able to analyze the the historical development of the Turkish education from beginning to the present
