Course Objective

Since the 1950s, the Turkish novels, short stories and general condition of theaters, community, and understand trends, understand the Turkish novel's present, past, compare and integrate.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Interpret and analyze contemporary Turkish writers of novels and stories.
2   To understand the contemporary Turkish novel and story resources, and to establish ties with the past.
3   Contemporary Turkish relations with Western literary trends and understand the novel.
4   To apply the theories of contemporary novels and short stories on literary texts learned.
5   The modern Turkish novels and stories affecting the political, social and cultural events, comprehend and interpret.
6   Comprehend and analyze the links between literature and other disciplines.
7   Literature to make a comment on current issues and formulate a solution.

7 Ferit Edgü's position of Turkish literature and examination of his novel "O (Hâkkari'de Bir Mevsim)"
