Course Objective

It is to enable the prospective teachers to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in teaching English to young learners.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students in ELT Department are supposed to improve their skills in children s learning strategies, specifically considering their biological, social, cognitive and linguistic development,
2   apply various methods and techniques of second language acqusition to young learners,
3   transfer the knowledge of children s literature to ELT,
4   develop visual materials, games and songs,
5   design appropriate lesson plans for micro teaching.
