Course Objective

The student will be able to gain some basic geometric concepts and prove basics theorems in Euclide geometry.

1   The student will be able to gain some basic concepts in geometry
2   The student will be able to solve geometry problems using axioms and theorems related to congruence and similarity of triangles
3   The student will be able to prove basics theorems about plane geometry
4   The student will be able to prove theorems related to the circle
5   The student will be able to comprehend point, line and plane concepts in space
6   The student will be able to solve problems on solid figures and their areas and volumes

1 Teaching basic geometric concepts of undefined terms.
2 Axioms, theorems on points, lines, planes, angles
3 theorems and axioms on congruence of angles
4 theorems and axioms on congruence of triangles
5 theorems and axioms on similarity of triangles
6 problems related to similarity of triangles
7 theorems on properties of geometric figures in a plane
8 Midterm exam
9 problems on properties of geometric figures in a plane
10 basic theorems used on plane geometry
11 basic theorems on properties of circles
12 some problems on properties of circles
13 point, line and plane concepts in space
14 properties of objects in space, problems on solid figures and their areas and volumes.
15 Final exam
