Course Objective

The objective of this course is to teach students theoretical and practical techniques of composing, to develop musical creativeness either lyrical or non-lyrical.

1   Knowing the kinds of educational music.
2   Learning composing techniques theoretically and practically.
3   Learning how to compose motive, phrase and period.
4   Composing child songs and canons by learning prosodical rules.
5   Composing piano accompany to school songs.
6   Composing educational music for chamber music assemblies.

1-Lecturing the lesson:
While teaching theories will be explained with a detailed example.
2-Composing a melody:
Producing a tonal or modal melody.
3-Harmonycal analysis:
To be able to arrange a polyphonic melody, the harmonical structure well be analyzed.
4-Weekly assignments:
Students Write educational compositions with the topics covered
5-Presentations
