Course Objective

To examine and evaluate some of the influential and effective national and international methods of piano pedagogy. To create a personal method in piano teaching.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Chooses and implements a teaching method suitable to the age, character, ability and development skills of the student.
2   Differentiates the methodological scheme depending on the student's developing process.
3   Completes any missing literature detected in the piano method.
4   Triggers the creative power of the student.
5   Compares old and new methods considering also today's educational requirements.
6   Reports positive and negative aspects of all piano methods.
7   Creates his/her own method after knowing and examining different methods.
8   Plays pieces from advanced level piano repertoire with technical and musical expression
