Course Objective

Learning the basic principles of photography. Technical information for taking photographs: Cameras, lenses, techniques of digital imagery, light and composition.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the definition of photography, what Camera Obscura is and the history of photography. 2   Knowing the ways of seeing and perspective, visual perception, perception and what Gestalt is. 3   Knowing manual control, exposure measurement and area of focus. Knowing color, black & white and color mixes. 4   Knowing lenses, digital photography, aperture, shutter and types of light. 5   Knowing the shooting angels, Iso, sensitivity, grain and texture of pixels and correct exposure. 6   Knowing the depth of field, perspective and space. 7   Processing digital image. Photoshoping and photo manipulation. 8   Analyzing photos. Preparing the Photo Exhibition project.
