Course Objective

Aim of this course is to make primary teacher candidates provide their students cognitive, motional, social developments through rhythm, movement and dance.

1   Being able to have knowledge of rhythmic structures.
2   Being able to beat rhythm.
3   Being able to convert rhythm to movement.
4   Being able to convert rhythm to dance.
5   Being able to compose new rhythmic forms.

Assessment Criteria

Students' presentations will be evaluated together with mid term and final examination.

Course Policies and Rules

1. It is obligated to continue to at least 70% of lesson .
2. Every student has to play an Orff instrument.
3. Every trial to copying will be finalized with disciplinary proceedings.
4. The instructor has right to make applied quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
