Course Objective

To be associated with environmental pollution the basic of principles of chemistry, approaches of qualitative and quantitative analysis, to be explained as theoretical and experimental

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are able to know the basic chemical rules regarding atmospheric pollutants and ozone layer.
2   Students should be able to know the origin of nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, hydrocarbons and halocarbons, their chemical effects and basic approaches regarding their chemical analysis.
3   Students are expected to explain the photochemical oxidants, particles, heat inversion and greenhouse effect.
4   Students are expected to know theoretical extent of water pollutants, toxics effects of heavy metals, detergent.
5   Students are expected to know pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and pollution originated from petroleum.
