Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters and to describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment using basic grammatical structures (articles, pronouns, verbs and adjectives).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   memorize basic grammatical structures (articles, pronouns, nouns, verbs ) in German
2   list basic vocabulary (numbers, days of the week, months, furniture) in German
3   differentiate between the use of "Du" and "Sie"
4   improve their basic listening and speaking skills in German
5   understand and reproduce very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type (i.e. introduce themselves and others , give very basic personal and family information)
