Course Objective

The aim of this course is to develop students' elementary and pre-intermediate level language skills of spoken and written German and to develop accurate fluency with these functions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   On successful completion of this semester, students will be able to compose "Wegen" and "trotz" structures
2   differentiate between tense and aspect in German
3   compose conditional and relative clauses in german
4   produces passive sentences
5   express their opinions on familiar subjects and personal interests (e.g. friendship, holidays, celebrations, illnesses, superstitions, furniture)
