Course Objective

The aim of the course is to raise awareness about the usage of different structures in both English and Turkish by comparing and contrasting them, and thus to help students use both languages accurately and consciously. The structural analysis and translation is done at sentence level with emphasis given to the context, as well. Students receive a great amount of input on grammar and they are expected to practise the translation of grammatical structures.

Course Policies and Rules

1. It is obligatory to attend at least 70% of the classes.
2. The instructor reserves the right to give quizzes at anytime. The grades from the quizzes will be incorporated into the midterm and final exam grades.
