Course Objective

The course aims to give students an intuition of how market mechanism works. Course is designated to equip the students with the ability of economic reasoning and understanding economic policymaking. Curriculum is based on the application areas of economic theory.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning economic reasoning and economic analysis
2   Conducting structural analysis based on economic theory and data.
3   Gaining necessary skills of how to interpret economic principles and theory in a business environment.
4   Identifying basic macreconomic concepts and comparing macroeconomic theories (Classical and Keynesian)
5   Demonstrating understanding of the concepts of of IS-LM curves, aggregate demand and supply curves, savings, investment and consumptions.
6   Showing the impacts of various economic policies on national income, overall price level and interest rates.
