First Cycle Programmes (Bachelor's Degree)

Course Coordinator

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR HASAN ÖZTÜRK

Offered to

Textile Engineering

Course Objective

The objective of this course is to teach the applications of dynamics to the analysis and design of machine and mechanical components, the problems of the forces required to produce specified motions, the free and forced vibration response of discrete systems and the balancing problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To formulate equations of motions of machines and machine members
2   To solve the equations of motions and to be aware of the industrial applications of such solutions
3   To apply the principles of mass balancing to rotary and reciprocating machinery, and four-link bar mechanisms
4   To formulate mathematical models of mechanical systems by lumping of mass, elasticity and damping
5   To make the dynamic force analysis of cam mechanisms
