Course Objective

To learn dry destilation and chemical, qualitative and quantitative analyses of textile fibers. To learn the analysis of the chemicals and dying agents in finishing processes. To determine the damaed fiber and types of damages in fibers and also perform the fastness tests.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The qualitative and the quantitative analyses of textile fibers, chemical agents and water used in finishing processes.
2   To learn the fastness of textiles for the problems can occur in the time of use.
3   To learn the fabrication fastness tests fort he problems can ocur in the production period of textiles.
4   To learn the necessary qualitative and quantitative analyses for identification of textile materials
5   To learn the analyses of finishing and dying agents on textile materials.

11 Identification of dying agents by chemical methods
12 Analysis of agents used in finishing processes

14 To peform tests of treated fabrics, fastness tests and determination of fiber damages
