Further Notes About Assessment Methods

In the context of the course three homeworks are given. First homework is presentation of a report that covers the analysis data of the given sample fabric and the production order of the fabric to be reproduced. Evaluation criteria are the implementation of appropriate techniques and submission of a proper and systematic report. Second homework is the preparation of a report including a fabric design proposal by the student and an aesthetic design work in accord with that proposal. Evaluation criteria are the compatibility of the aesthetic work with the proposal plus the aesthetic success. Third homework is the preparation of a report covering the technical design and production order of the fabric which the student previously proposed and has already prepared its aesthetics design, based on the second homework. Evaluation criteria are the implementation of the technical design in harmony with the second homework and that the production order satisfies the design objectives and also defines a weaveable fabric. FInally, some design homework are choosen and real fabrics are woven by student groups.
