Course Objective

To give information and explain the pattern design and the construction techniques in flat and circular knitting machines.

1 Knitting elemants of electronical flat bed knitting machines (carriage, cams, yarn feeding systems, take down tension devices etc)
2 Preparation of the knitting pattern instructions by computer programmmes
3 Preparation of the knitting pattern instructions by computer programmmes: Shima Seiki
4 Preparation of the knitting pattern instructions by computer programmmes: Stoll
5 Application of Shima Seiki pattern design programmes
6 Application of Stoll pattern design programmes
7 Midterm
8 Jacquard system of circular knitting machines
9 Fleece fabric
10 Plush fabric construction
11 Wrap finger technique
12 Striper device on circular knitting machines
