Course Objective

The aim of the internship I is to gain knowledge and experience in textile raw materials, textile products, production flows and machine parks, business management, maintenance and quality control systems, production and work organization and labor management issues. The internship I is performed for six weeks in maximum three different textile factories including minimum three production areas which can be spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing-finishing and garment production.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To examine at least three textile production fields such as spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing-finishing and garment productions.
2   To improve the knowledge gained in textile engineering education period practically
3   To examine the raw materials and auxiliary materials of the product
4   To explain the properties and the technological levels of the machines used in the production
5   The ability to write internship reports with an objective approach

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 The informations about the textile company are summarized, such as company name, address, date of establishment, number of employees etc.
2 The product types should be analyzed in detail.
3 The quality control system and the documentation should be observed and analyzed in the company.
4 Actively participate in the production process and quality control activities. Sample sheets and forms should be added into internship report.
5 Brands and the trademarks of the products on the market, the technical characteristics and application areas should be involved.
6 Practical activities are performed under control of the company authorities
