Course Objective

To relate applicable knowledge about masonry and timber framed structures and building elements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizing the basic principles about structure and construction of timber framed structures according to Disaster Code.
2   Defining the concepts about structure, material and component
3   Practice the required technical drafting competence
4   Determining the main decisions about walls and foundations in masonry and timber framed constructions according to Disaster Code
5   Developing the appropriate solutions for masonry construction and timber framed structures
