Course Objective

The objective of this course is to emphasize architectural communication in an ınterdısciplınary context beyond to use it as a technical tool, and to realize studio workshops following with the guest lectures from other disciplines.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the place and the meaning of archıtectural communication in architectural design and presentation techniques of other disciplines.
2   Associate architectural design presentation with the knowledge gained from other disciplines.
3   Express the visual communication knowledge maintained from the other disciplines by homeworks during studio hours and after class
4   Criticize these layouts during the studio hours.
5   Restructure the presentations on architectural communication on the light of the critics

1 Introductiıon: The scope and the objectives of the course
2 Theoretical analysis of Typography; study of a selected abstract concept in relatiıon with typography technique.
3 Three phased visualization on the main facade of a selected building: Phase 1; pattern work by free-hand sketching
4 Three phased visualization on the main facade of a selected building: Phase 2; Acromatic colorization
5 Three phased visualization on the main facade of a selected building: Phase 3; Cromatic colorization
6 Mid-term exam
7 Free-hand sketch marathone on the given visual material from the projection.
8 Theoretical analysis of Colage technique; study of a given topic concept in relatiıon with typography technique
9 Theoretical analysis of Colage technique; study of a given topic concept in relatiıon with typography technique continues.
10 Theoretical analysis of Photoshop technique; study of students architectural projects in relatiıon with photoshop technique
