Course Objective

Although masonry buildings take considerable part in the housing stock of Turkey, reinforced masonry is not a known construction method for Turkey. The aim of the course is to inform the students about reinforced masonry.

2   Recognizing the masonry practice in Turkey.
3   Recognizing the masonry practice in the world.
4   Recognizing the earthquake resistant masonry design.
5   Designing the reinforced masonry buildings.
