Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to enable the student to obtain the knowledge, skills and experiences regarding the importance of evidence-based practice in nursing and use of evidence-based guides in nursing

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student can comprehend the principles of evidence-based practice and evidence-based nursing
2   The student can explain the importance of evidence-based practice in the nursing field
3   The student can explain the evidence levels in the evidence-based practice
4   The student can recognize the centers where she/he can reach the evidence-based resources
5   The student can examine the evidence-based guides on a subject in the nursing care
6   The student can use the evidence-based guides in nursing
7   The student can develop strategies to implement the evidence-based guide suggestions

3 Evidence and evidence levels
4 Generation of answerable question
5 Examination of the centers where evidence-based resources could be reached (computer lab)
6 Possession of the best evidences
7 Sharing the evidence with the group
8 Examination of the evidence-based guide in nursing (computer lab)
9 Classroom examination of the evidence-based guide in nursing
10 Developing a care suggestion regarding the generated question/determined subject and presenting it to the group
11 1.Midterm exam
12 Obstacles for KDH
13 Strategies for KDH
14 Interview with the responsible and clinical nurses regarding the care suggestions that are developed for the KDH practice and determination of obstacles Presentation of group studies
15 Homework Report of the Group
