Course Objective

To provide clinical knowledge in paediatric diseases

1   Identifies important rheumatoid diseases and musculoskeletal diseases in children 2   Knows the general characteristics of cerebral palsy 3   Defines clinical knowledge related to muscle diseases and peripheral neuropathies 4   Knows the definition of allergy and allergic diseases seen in childhood. 5   identifies drug allergies and repetitive childhood lung infections

Week Subject Description 1 Examination in paediatric rheumatology 2 Pediatric musculoskeletal diseases: differential diagnosis (acute rheumatoid fever etc) 3 New classification and treatment of juvenile idiopathic arthritis 4 Important rheumatological diseases presenting musculoskeletal signs 5 Pediatric neurological examination 6 Cerebral palsy 7 Muscle diseases Peripheral neuropathies 8 Drug allergies (penicillin allergy) Repetitive lung infections 9 What is allergy IgE, effects 10 Factors causing allergy, allergens 11 Bronchial Astma (Diagnosis, clinical signs, Predisposing factors, treatment) Urticarial-Angiooden treatment 12 Allergic rhinitis and its treatment Allergic conjunctivitis and its treatment 13 Food allergies Cow s milk allergy 14 Gastrointestinal allergy Anaphylaxis and its treatment
