Course Objective

This course deals with new topics in biomedical engineering that are of interest in any given semester. The details of the course will be publicized in each semester by the instructor. The outcomes of the course vary depending on the topic. The Course description for this course is announced at the beginning of each semester. This course will generally cover state-of-the-art recent subjects which are not covered in other courses offered by the Biomedical Technologies Graduate Program.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gain experience on how to use science, engineering science and mathematics knowledge to solve biomedical engineering problems in related topics.
2   Recognize biomedical engineering problems, gain experience on how to put them in solvable form and develop/evaluate alternative solutions in related topic.
3   Acquire how to put biomedical engineering skills into practice.
4   Survey the literature in related topics.
5   Acquire knowledge and experience in fields which are not typically covered by conventional courses.
