Course Objective

This course aims to explore into the conditions and ideas that underlie the contemporary art practice through texts that approach the issues from various disciplinary perspectives (philosohy, art criticism, sociology, psychology and etc.)

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   the student is expected to become familiar with the essential concepts and differing perspectives of the issues discussed in the international literature
2   develop a critical and and in depth perspective of the issues
3   become knowlegable of the methods and principles of constucting a systematic argument
4   properly differentiate and relate the teoretical (thinking of) and practical (thinking in) aspect of art education.
5   place and understand his or her work within a broader cultural milieu
