Course Objective

This course aims to explore into the nature of issues and problems underlying today's art practice through concepts that are at the heart of those problems such as reality, illusion, representation, symbolic transformation, expression and so on.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   the student is expected to become familiar with the essential concepts and differing perspectives of the issues discussed in the international literature
2   develop a critical and and in depth perspective of the issues
3   become knowlegable of the methods and principles of constucting a systematic argument
4   properly differentiate and relate the teoretical (thinking of) and practical (thinking in) aspect of art education.
5   place and understand his or her work within a broader cultural milieu
