Course Objective

This course aims to explore into the nature of issues and problems underlying today's art practice through concepts that are at the heart of those problems such as reality, illusion, representation, symbolic transformation, expression and so on.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   the student is expected to become knowledgable about the various aspects of the issues disccused in the literature
2   develop a critical perspective over the issues discussed
3   become knowledgable about the methods and principles of developing a sytematic, scientific argumentation
4   be able to differentiate and relate the teoretical (thinking of) and practical (thinking in) aspects of art education
5   be able to think about his or her work within a broder cultural context
