Course Objective

To cover fundamental procedures in development of instruments for educational and social researches.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Create construct specifications for a cognitive, attitudinal, or behavioral measurement instrument.
2   Develop items consistent with a set of construct specifications.
3   Pilot test instrument and conduct item analyses to select items.
4   Conduct validity and reliability analyses of field test data.
5   Write a summary of validation study.
