Course Objective

To understand the compose methods for original music composition for solo instrument, voice, ensemble, vocal music and orchestra with the theoretical and practical applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to create original compositions with in the integrity and consistency.
2   Be able to identify the similarities and contrasts between the compositional techniques
3   Be able to explain composition techniques according to background characteristics
4   Be able to interpret the effects of the overall structure of the works with various aesthetic approaches
5   Be able to identify composition techniques which are used in the Baroque, Classical, Romantic era and 20th century music
