Course Objective

Stylistic and aesthetic understanding repertoire of his/her musical instruments to the student who plays the contrabass, to give a comment the ability to more qualified, in addition to have a rich repertoire on high level to constitute the student's own musical expression.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student grasps technical and musical overview of works like scales, studies, exercises, sonatas, concerti in the instrument's repertoire in playing the contrabasses.
2   The student analyzes adaptive texture of the works included in the contrabass s repertoire for solo, chamber music, orchestra; melodious and the formal structure.
3   Takes part in the project and responsibility as solo, recital and document as video and audio records.
4   Plans and recommends artistic activities about music.
5   Scans internet to examine and investigate, video and audio records of works to be performed, books of domestic and foreign written about review and analysis of the works, master's degree and proficiency in arts theses.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The courses is done by teaching the works for solo or with the accompaniment, studying technically and interpreting the works as on the stage.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

During the term the student obtains the total results of %70 of the mid-term and final exams. The studenwill be in chargeof the repertoire which is practiced whole semester and the final exams programme includes this repertoire.
Exams will be played with accompined or without accompined.
Concert : Students will recevie % 30 of their achievement score for the concert preparation.

Assessment Criteria

The exams; intend to evaluate if the student approach the knowledge, the attaignments and the application abilities indicated in the student education form.

1. The attendance of class is obligatory of %80.
2. Except the health problems, it could not be accept any excuse, for the continuation of the courses.
