Course Objective

To analyse knowledge and its kinds, paradigm shift in scientific thought and quantum thought, information technologies, microelectronics and microbiology, share and generation of knowledge, manpower, education-instruction-learning organization, active individual, continuous improvement, innovation concept, tecno-parks and techo-cities, innovation and competition, innovation and globalization, approach of innovative growth and development, r&d in EU, 6th and 7th framework programme; and to compare them with the r&d and scientific-technologic policies in Turkey.

1   To understand and learn new technology and scientific notion techniques and dynamism in knowledge society,
2   To examine the development in science, technology and innovation areas which EU focuses on,
3   To analyse EU s science and technology policies in scope of Lisbon and 2020 strategies,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The lecture will be carried by researches and discussions related to the subject, besides classical lecture which is given by the lecturer. In this content, participation and attendance are important and also a critical factor which can determine in term and final performance of the student. It is also important that applicants should read the related material before lecture. Every applicant should prepare a term paper to present in the class and to deliver to lecturer at the end of the term. The paper in question must be appropriate to research Project format and scientific writing rules, in less than 20 pages. It also must be delivered at the very latest the day that the final exam declared and should be presented successfully at the declared date.
