Course Objective

In this course, it is subjected Islamic perspective on art, architecture and depiction, and it will be tried to answer the question of how Islam sees human besides all these perspectives.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They will conceive the historical environment and evaluate them in a bigger perspective
2   They will understand the Islamic attitudes towards art
3   They will clarify the area related issues and make projects for their solutions with alternatives
4   They will explain all the factors that play a role in building the art, like religion
5   They will have the ability to run independently an expert study in Turkish and Islamic Art

11 Geographical and historical reasons of the diversity in Islamic Architecture
12 The importance of ornamentation as a tool in Islamic art
13 General overview about yesterday s and today s of Islamic art
