Course Objective

To analyze the development phase of the Turkish Foreign Policy within the conceptual and historical framework, and to describe the actual status of the policy within the context of current issues

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe the fundamental goals and principles of the Turkish Foreign Policy
2   To be able to assess the development and transformation phases undergone by the Turkish Foreign Policy from past to present
3   To be able to list the persons, institutions and organizations that direct the Turkish Foreign Policy and to define the characteristics of the above-mentioned bodies
4   To be able to analyze current Foreign Policy of Turkey
5   To be able to present the issue of Turkey-EU Relations

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

To review the weekly subjects together with the students after the subjects are re-outlined by the lecturer, based on the pre-course reading process done by the students, and also to encourage the students to make a short presentation on a subject they prefer during the semester (if possible).
