Course Objective

To get students information and ability that addressing the components that take part in both urban and regional development of Turkey, studying the problems that encountered in the matter of development and analysing the implications of these problems in the public finance area, evaluating the studies at the national and the international level in the aim of determining the regions and cities that have a primary place in Turkey's development.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to describe the main concepts relevant to urban and regional development
2   Be able to explain the scope, bases and legal characteristics of urban and regional development
3   Be able to evaluate the durations in the process of environmental protection and enhancing the urban infrastructure
4   Be able to examine the problems which occur to eliminate the interregional social and economic differences
5   Be able to bring forward recommendations to actualise regional and urban renewal effectively
