Course Objective

Investigate genetic components, disorders of cognitive components, changes in functions and structure of brain, cell pathology, neurochemical and neuroendocrine processes of ethiopathogenesis of mood disorders, particularly bipolar disorders.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be informed of genetic components and disorders in cognitive functions of mood disorders
2   To learn structural and functional changes of the brain obtained by imaging techniques in mood disorders
3   To have knowledge about cell pathology, neurochemical and neuroendocrinal processes of mood disorders.
4   To learn about the place of electrophysiology in mood disorders.
5   To be able to present information relevant with the subject in oral and written way
