Course Objective

The objective of this course is to analyze management approaches in the context of sustainable tourism. Topics may include sustainable development, alternative tourism approaches, mass tourism, sustainable tourism practices in Turkey and the world.

2   To be able to examine global tourism movements and competitiveness.
3   To be able to explain factors affection sustainable tourism.
4   To be able to analyze problems encountered in tourism sector in the context of sustainable tourism.

Assessment Criteria

1. Students will take the advantage of existing studies of scientific literature about sustainable tourism within the scope of course.
2. Students should benefit from the sectoral studies made for sustainable tourism.
3. Students are expected to comment about case studies related to the course and tourism sector. It is also aimed for students to find solutions to the structural problems of tourism sector.

1. It is obligatory to attend at least 70% of the classes.
2. Violations of Plagiarism of any kind will result in disciplinary steps being taken.
