Course Objective

To show the influence of religion on aesthetics and the influence of aesthetics on what is religious. To teach relationship between aesthetics and basic religious features which are belief in God and ethics and rituals. Aim to achieve the ability of analysis in the religion and to understand the concept of beauty in the aesthetic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students recognize the important of aesthetics in not only human nature but also in religion.
2   The student can analyze effects of aesthetics on dimensions of ethics and ritual and divinity.
3   The student learns arguments for aesthetics.
4   The students can value the main issues of the Philosophy of Religion with aesthetic perspective.
5   The Student understands relationship between religion and art.

10 Argument from face and heart: Argument from meaning of face.

13 Relationship between Ritual and Aesthetic I: Relationship between ritual and aesthetics in Primitive societies, Music and Ritual
14 Relationship between Ritual and Aesthetic II: Myth and Ritual, Art and Ritual, fighting with holy and new rites in art and religion .
