Course Objective

The aim of this course is to determine what is the place of psychology and its function and to analyse the method of psychology and critiques made about it. Another aim of this course is to encourage student to produce philosophical knowledge about psychology

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student will acquire the knowledge of psychology in Islamic Thought by its orijinal texts
2   They will be concsious about the relation between psychology and theology in Islamic Thought
3   They will comprehend the debates between psychology and religious knowledge in Medieval age
4   They will comprehend the debates between psychology and religious knowledge in Medieval age
5   They will see the debates between psychological and religious knowledge and they will evaluate the contributions to the area of theology

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

The students will learn the idea of religious knowledge among medieval period and comprehend its relationship with psychological knowledge. Also they will learn the contribution of these debates to the area of theology.

Assessment Criteria

The success of student will be counted by reference to their performance in mid term, final exams, works and courses.
