Course Objective

The aims of this course are: to provide general view of religious education in reformation periods. To research essential laws that directs the religious education during the reformation period in transformation to the republic in Ottoman s times. To help students in learning several views about religious education in vary of thinkers and thought movements during the reformation period. To evaluate the discussions around religious teaching.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They can explain general changes in religious education in reformation period in Ottoman years and republican era, and also they will be able to explain and link to each other some political, social and religious processes that caused those changes
2   They will evaluate Tawhid-i Tadrisat law according to its importance of religious education and possible results
3   They will have information about how religious education took place in schools in republican era
4   They can explain formal religious education in main lines in republican reformation period and link it wit school syllabuses

6 Education and religious education in mosques of early period of conquers
7 Religious educational institutions in Amawii s period

9 Religious educational institutions and new educational institutions in Abbasi s
10 Establishing the madrasahs in Salchuks and other Turkish Islamic countries
11 Aims of establishing the Nizamiyah Madrasahs and their programmes
12 Madrasahs, in early Ottoman years
13 Madarasahs in great years of Ottomans
14 Religious education in Takkah and Zaviyah in Ottoman years
