Course Objective

This course looks into curious relationship between theory and art as it is practiced today against a background of various art theories developed throughout history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   the student is expected to become familiar with the essential concepts and differing perspectives of the issues discussed in the international literature
2   develop a critical and and in depth perspective of the issues
3   become knowlegable of the methods and principles of constucting a systematic argument
4   properly differentiate and relate the teoretical (thinking of) and practical (thinking in) aspect of art education.
5   place and understand his or her work within a broader cultural milieu
