Course Objective

To give knowledge about working procedures and troubleshooting of auxiliary machinery (pumps, air compressors, purifiers, OWS, sewage units, refrigeration units, incinerators, steering gears etc.) in detail.

2 Classification of pumps, classification of dynamic pumps
3 Classification of positive displacement pumps
4 L/O and F/O separators, separation method, purification and clarification
5 Oily water separators and separation method, parts of oily water separators
6 Classification of air compressors, parts of compressors and pressurized air pipelines
7 Midterm Exam
8 Refrigeration systems, provision rooms, parts of refrigeration systems
9 FW Generators, evaporation system and the parts of evaporating system
10 Sewage units, physical, biological and chemical cleaning methods and parts of sewage unit
11 Incinerators and parts of the incinerating system
12 Steering gear systems, hydraulic parts of steering gears
13 Stern tubes, oil seals and shaft system
14 ERS and CBT application
