Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to increase creativity by using the natural form and energy of the body, the unity of body, mind and soul and the expression of music through motion and dance; to awaken vital energy through dancing s secret ways; and to create unity between knowledge and aesthetics by using one of the most important factors influencing individual perception: modern dance.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To develop powers of concentration by using dance steps with the body s natural form and energy;
2   To increase balance and awareness skills;
3   To develop attention and focus abilities;
4   To develop physical flexibility and self-expression skills;
5   To develop skills such as self-confidence, coordination, harmony and communication;

The following methods will be used: Modern and classical dance technique, traditional dance forms, elemental dance, jazz dance, lyric dance, African dance, waltz and tango steps, down and up, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Technique, Trager Technique, meditative dance, etc.
