It is aimed to enable the students comprehend the relation between today s active cultural elements and the past, by presenting the development processes of the Turkish culture which has a thousands of years as background.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The students are expected to get prepared for the course according to the weekly course schedule, using the particular references, and a methodology that consists of lectures, debates and practices will be followed during the class. First of all, the theoretical background will be provided and then knowledge input and output processes will be applied. Through tangible exemplification method, several activities on the data and information utilized during the class will be performed. During the practical part of the course, the students are expected to prepare assignments and presentations, to perform their presentations during the course within the particular week; and then, the issues covered in the presentations will be discussed during the class.

Course Policies and Rules

It is obligated to continue to at least 70% of lessons. The instructor has right to make practical quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes will be directly added to exam scores.
